Craft

Coffee Filter Garlands - sigh, I'm in love, The prettiest by far have to be by Pam Garrison - she also has a step by step tutorial on how to make them - so simple but so divine and delicate!  I think I need to make some NOW!  I have looked on another few sites where they dip the filters in food coloured water and dry them in the oven, and some just colour them with watercolour pens and then spritz them...Sorry, for the horrendous link... but it will get you there... it's an older post of hers...

Craft

Strawberries - mmmm - made a punnet of these for my little girl for Christmas (saving dollars and wanted something special) - how ADORABLE they looked in the little plastic strawberry tub.  They are ridiculously easy too, which makes them all the more sweet!

Craft

Loving craft that is quick yet sweet - was making little mermaids for Rach - 5 years old (she calls them Merbabes).  Found this amazing woolen fibre at the craft shop which is simply perfect for mer'babe' hair!  We made a few big merbabes and a baby one.  The body is simply peach coloured felt and the tail a patterned fabric Rach chose herself.  All done on the sewing machine and stuffed with cushion insert stuff.  Simply embroidered a little mouth and two little french knot eyes and coloured her cheeks with a little red pencil.  I will definitely draw a template for the body and tail and put on some step by step instructions - so CUTE!

Getting Started

Hmmm, well I am NOT a writer, that is for certain, however, I can scrapbook (which I love when I have time for it), bake, paint, love craft and am raising 5 children (15,13, 8, 5 and 2) with my amazing husband, we attend a fantastic church and life is always busy... At this point my blog is definitely NOT what I imagined it would look like, you know, I was thinking of roses and ribbons and lots of buttons to click on with sections for recipes, kids craft, organising, etc. etc... i guess I'll get to that...for now I'm just excited to be able to put my first little blog on!  At least I've worked out how to put a few pictures on - scrapbook pages of my daughters.  Bek and Rach.  Yikes, the one of Bec above, no, she is not trying to be a vampire - she is dressed up as a ventriloquist doll, strange, but pretty.  Loving, loving Gabrielle Pollacco's scrapbooking style http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/  she is SO inspiring and her pages are divine !  Hopefully over the days, months and years I can create a blog full of lovely inspirations too!  I want to put on step by step craft ideas (I know how to make the MOST ADORABLE little mermaid dolls), yummy baking and even just hints and tips on parenting that have worked for us.
