Loving craft that is quick yet sweet - was making little mermaids for Rach - 5 years old (she calls them Merbabes). Found this amazing woolen fibre at the craft shop which is simply perfect for mer'babe' hair! We made a few big merbabes and a baby one. The body is simply peach coloured felt and the tail a patterned fabric Rach chose herself. All done on the sewing machine and stuffed with cushion insert stuff. Simply embroidered a little mouth and two little french knot eyes and coloured her cheeks with a little red pencil. I will definitely draw a template for the body and tail and put on some step by step instructions - so CUTE! Sunday, 19 June 2011
